Germany wants more protection against aircraft noise

According to the law on the protection of aircraft noise from 2007, the German federal government issued the annual report 2017 for the parliament. In particular, noise protection values are evaluated, taking into account developments in noise research and aeronautics. The federal government intends to go beyond this legal mandate: it wants to include a comprehensive overview of the provisions for the protection of aircraft noise. In preparation for this task, the Federal Environment Agency has prepared a detailed report.

An example of one of the conclusions: Increase in legal certainty, in particular with regard to precise specifications on the level of noise protection to be complied with, higher weighting of protection against aircraft noise, improvement of the protection level for the period between 22:00 and 06:00
